A short 50-minutes drive north of Aswan leads to the Temple of Kom Ombo, perched on a high dune above the Nile. The site consists of two temples, dedicated to Sobek and Haroeris, joined in a symmetrical design. Though parts of the temple were lost to Nile silt and stone reuse, many carvings and reliefs remain to illustrate its historical importance.

Time is also allowed to observe the temple’s unique features, including references to sacred crocodiles that once inhabited the area. After the visit, drive back to Aswan. (-/-/-)
