Programme Details

The day begins with a morning drive to Saqqara, a vast ancient necropolis. Explore the Step Pyramid of Djoser, recognised as the earliest monumental stone building in the world, and view the intricate reliefs in the surrounding tombs. Continue further south to Dahshur to witness the transition in pyramid design. Visit the Bent Pyramid, famous for its unique change in angle, and the Red Pyramid, which is the first successful smooth-sided pyramid ever built.

A break for lunch is served at a local restaurant, providing an opportunity to enjoy traditional Egyptian flavours. In the afternoon, head to Memphis, the legendary first capital of Egypt. Wander through the open-air museum to see the massive Colossus of Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphinx. The day concludes with a return drive to the hotel in the late afternoon. (-/L/-)
