Either on your first evening at Angkor or after a wonderful tour of the temples, enjoy a relaxing sunset cruise on a gondola-style paddle boat. Enjoy Champagne, soft drinks, and canapés as your boat paddles slowly along the ancient moat of Angkor Thom to watch a spectacular sunset at Prasat Chroung temple.
Programme Details
Depart either the hotel or the Angkor temples to the moat of Angkor Thom, where a private gondola paddle boat will be waiting for a relaxing cruise in the afternoon sunlight. Paddle along the moat filled with flowers and buzzing with dragonflies; watch for birds who flock to the trees and waters surrounding the ancient city wall.
Enjoy Champagne, soft drinks, and canapes on the 20-minute paddle out to the southwest corner of the wall, where you can ascend the rampart to the ruins of the small Prasat Chrung temple overlooking the moat to the south and west. Enjoy the setting sun for a while before reboarding the gondola boat for the paddle back to the South Gate of the city.
(Note: The boat is also available without food and drinks, or with red/white wine or local beer and soft drinks instead of Champagne.)
Return to Siem Reap.
