There’s nothing like Southern Thailand. The idyllic and paradise-like beaches we’ve seen in photos, movies and books are true and waiting your arrival down there. Thick evergreen tropical jungles await your exploration. The culture is also quite interesting, unique and distinct from the rest of the country. Ready for a truly memorable Thai experience? Let the South’s cultural charm and picturesque natural scenery awe you and leave you wanting to come back for more.

Ready to go wow? Your trip starts off from the capital. From there, your southward trajectory takes you to Samut Songkram. Markets on train tracks and on canals? This is it. Also enjoy your trishaw ride through orchards and humble villages. Just a couples hours from here is your first beachside stop at Pranburi. Kick back and relax, because you’ll be doing plenty of this as well.

Ready for some more nature? Then head on over to Sam Roi Yot National Park, one of Thailand’s best preserved marine national parks. Feel the soothing wind against your face as a boat ride cruises you around and about until you dock at a local village. Further bask in the scenery with a tempting trek before heading to the gateway of Southern Thailand, Chumpon.

Chumpon is just another place with a small town character that you’re probably becoming accustomed to by now. Observe a traditional fishing village as it comes to life in the early morning hours, which should boost you for the transfer to Surat Thani, the hub for transfers to numerous Southern Thai island delights and home to fine jungle temples and finally to Nakhon Si Thammarat.

More nature is a ‘coming! See what Khao Sok National Park has in store for you as you explore its ancient evergreen rainforest, limestone mountains and breathtaking lakes. And within the vicinity is an uninterrupted beach. Kick back those legs once again.

Awake to the distant call of gibbons in the early morning hours. And pinch yourself a little bit; just to remind yourself that this isn’t some awesome dream. And to further prove you are in a tropical wonderland, we’ll set up an elephant ride for you, as well as a paddling experience amidst the stunning limestone formations and plethora of tropical jungle wildlife. So, which of the national parks along the Thai peninsula do you like better? Why?
