Put on your adventure hat, boots, clothes, glasses and whatever adventure-related gear you normally put on, cuz we got a venture for you. If you like trekking, kayaking and a little cycling, then you will love our Sangkhlaburi Trek and Kayak adventure tour in Thailand. So, off we go to Kanchanaburi Province and to Sangklaburi Distinct, near the Burmese border. If you like swimming, bring swim gear as well! Oh and don’t forget, this is some of Thailand’s most affected World War 2 areas, with time for you to do some history lessons regarding this later on.

Hop on the train in Bangkok to Kanchanaburi, an excellent mode of transport for you to see and experience life outside of Bangkok and to be in the company of your regular Thai folk. Once at the destination, there is time for you to relax and absorb the environment at a local restaurant and at the night market.

The ringing of your alarm clock couldn’t sound any sweeter. It’s time for your adventure! Be prepared to trek through thick rainforests and equally dense rolling hills. Meet your expert Sangklaburi jungle guide and start the hike to the Karen hilltribe village of Ban Sa-ne Pong, which will also be your camp for the night. Feel free to cool off in the nearby stream.

Shift gears a bit and let an ox show you around the village. Say good-bye to everyone and continue on your journey as you trek along the Songkaria River. March through shallow brooks and creeks and push through dense foliage along the way. Your camp site will be at Takien Thong Stream.

Now it’s time to really go aquatic! Board a raft and head to Ban Songkaria, home to the Mon and Karen hilltribe people. Explore the village and learn more about the traditions and customs of these great and colorful peoples. After that, you will actually be only steps away from Myanmar via the Three Pagodas Pass, situated almost 300 meters above sea level as you make your way to Sangklaburi.

Spend the morning with a hard earned relaxation time amongst the pristine environment of Sangklaburi before heading off to the safari-style tents of Hin Tok River Camp. With sweeping views of the beautiful landscape and the River Kwai, you will feel totally at peace in this tranquil environment.

The River Kwai will be the venue for your next excursion, an unforgettable canoeing experience. After that, embrace the Kanchanaburi environment even further with a bike ride through the jungles, with stops made at temples and villages along the way. It is now time to cool off and refresh a little bit. And the pools of Erawan Falls would more than do the trick! If swimming is not your cup of tea, then feel free to admire the multi-tiered cascades of the waterfall. Then, head off to another cool site, the limestone Phra That Cave and its stunning stalactites and stalagmites.

Spend the last day in Kanchanaburi learning about the area’s history, with a tour of the Death Railway and visiting the JEATH War Museum before heading back to Bangkok.
