There’s a distinct charm and beauty to be discovered in Laos. The country has left hundreds of thousands mesmerized and yearning to come back for more. You’ll find out why firsthand via an epic luxury experience!

Your Laos experience begins at Luang Prabang, a UNESCO Heritage town. Here, you’ll embrace Lao and Buddhsit culture as well as one sprinkled with European colonial flavor and tree-lines streets. You’ll also notice this as one of the cleanest cities you’ve ever visited. Wander around this picturesque town and take this opportunity to learn about the heritage from a monk at one of the temples. In the evening, wander through the bustling Night Market where ethnic hill tribe minorities peddle their wares of traditional costumes and handicrafts.

The cultural experience continues first thing in the morning. Be rewarded with an amazing and purely traditional site of hundred of orange robed monks on their alms walk. From here, join in the frenetic atmosphere at the local fresh market. And more cultural endeavors continue, this time at Ock Pop Tok gallery. The adept skills of the local silk weaving industry are truly striking and may serve as inspiration to design your very own scarf. In the late afternoon, you can try your hand at whipping up Laotian specialties amidst the splendid ambience of La Residence Phou Vao.

Luang Prabang is also about nature. And it is quite soothing, and you’ll agree once you sail along the Mekong and Nam Khan Rivers. This is also where the town’s most iconic temple is at, Wat Xieng Thong. From there, keep going until you reach Pak Ou Caves, where thousands of gold-lacquered Buddha statues of all shapes and sizes call home. Tonight, Dine on fabulous Lao cuisine while anchored beneath the limestone karsts on a tranquil stretch of river.

Time for the capital, Vientiane. Just like Luang Prabang, it is more of a town than a city. Phra That Luang is the country’s national symbol and it is easy to see why through its golden stupa design. Ascend Laos’ own Arc de Triomphe, called Patuxai for some nice views of the city. Notice any high rise buildings, or lack of them? From here, continue on with the Lao enlightenment at Wat Sisaket where hundreds of Buddha statues are nestled in the temple walls and Wat Ho Phra Keo, the former home of the Emerald Buddha. Indulge in gastronomic delights at Chez Phillippe restaurant renowned for its French-styled bistro before pampering yourself with some shopping and spa treatment. You’ll have the opportunity to be a local as well. Take part in the traditional baci ceremony and cook up some delicious Lao food with your gracious evening host.

You can never get enough of Laos. See what else the country has to offer here.
