As General Counsel for EXO Travel Group, you will serve as the principal legal contact across our 10+ countries of operation. You will play a critical role in ensuring legal compliance, minimizing risk exposure, and enabling sustainable growth through sound legal governance. Working closely with the CEO, CFO, CPO and other senior leaders, you will guide legal strategy, oversee contracts and policy development, and support expansion efforts through M&A or destination launches.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Legal & Contractual Oversight
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts including commercial agreements, supplier contracts, NDAs, and MOUs.
Standardize and regularly update contract templates across all departments and jurisdictions.
Ensure compliance with local and international labor laws, commercial codes, intellectual property rights, and tourism-related regulations (including environmental and human rights standards) in EXO’s countries of operation
Manage relationships with external legal counsel to ensure high-quality service, cost efficiency, and alignment with company objectives
Oversee legal budgets and control costs, ensuring appropriate use of resources and adherence to financial targets
2. Risk & Compliance Management
Monitor regulatory changes across jurisdictions and communicate implications to relevant stakeholders.
Lead the development and implementation of a group-wide compliance framework.
Support compliance with anti-corruption, anti-bribery, and data protection regulations (e.g. B-Corp, GDPR, PDPA).
3. Corporate Governance
Advise on corporate structuring and entity management across the group.
Support board governance, shareholder agreements, and intercompany transactions.
Develop and maintain corporate policies and internal legal manuals.
Manage relationships with local legal representatives in EXO destinations as needed
4. HR Legal Support
Ensure legal compliance in employment practices for local and expatriate staff.
Ensure consistent legal support across destinations during hiring, termination, disciplinary actions, or restructuring.
5. Litigation & Dispute Resolution
Act as liaison with external legal advisors and manage legal fees, budgeting, and prioritization of legal resources.
Oversee litigation or arbitration cases, supporting the company in legal proceedings or settlements as needed.
6. Training & Legal Awareness
Conduct legal training sessions across business units.
Promote a culture of legal awareness and ethical behavior.

Travel to EXO destinations if required for audits, training, or legal support.
Qualifications:
Law degree and license to practice law in at least one relevant jurisdiction (preferably Thailand or a country where EXO operates).
A minimum of 5 and up to 10 years of legal experience, ideally in international or cross-border environments.
Proven experience in commercial law, labor law, governance, and regulatory compliance.
Strong negotiation, drafting, and legal project management skills.
High integrity and discretion in handling sensitive information.
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus. Strong alignment with EXO’s mission of ethical and sustainable travel.
