After breakfast at the hotel, check out and begin the journey with guide and driver to Kintamani. The drive is lined with magnificent views over Bali’s beautiful landscapes. Upon reaching Kintamani, enjoy breathtaking views over Mt. Batur and its crescent-shaped Batur Lake.
Continue with a visit to Besakih, known as the ‘Mother Temple’ of Bali. Located on the western slopes of Mount Agung (Bali’s highest volcano), Besakih is the largest and most important temple on the island.
After visiting the temple, drive to the nearby Rendang for lunch in a local restaurant. Enjoy beautiful views of lush rice fields with the stunning Mount Agung in the background.
After lunch, continue the day’s excursion with a visit to the holy water temple of Tirta Empul. Dedicated to Vishnu, all Balinese will bathe in these holy waters at least once a year. There will also be a visit made to a nearby plantation in Tampak Siring, where many local spices and fruits can be found.
Next, visit the unique temple of Gunung Kawi. Set amidst lush rice terraces, these 11th century temples feature 10 rock-cut Candi (shrines) carved into the cliff face. They stand at 7-metre-high and combine ancient Hindu and Buddhist temple attributes. There are numerous stairs leading down to the temple (good walking shoes are required).

After breakfast, checkout from the hotel and enjoy the morning tour in Ubud.
Begin the day with a visit to the Peliatan Palace, known for its traditional Balinese architecture, before heading to the ARMA Museum, offering some excellent insight into Balinese art & culture.
Next, visit Ubud’s sacred Monkey Forest with its cheeky inhabitants. Afterwards, enjoy some free time at the Ubud market to witness how local vendors sell everything from food and clothes to souvenirs and art.
Continue to Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar for the onward flight or to the next destination in Bali or Lombok.
