Kayaking the Hong Lagoon - Full Day
You will be picked up at 09:00. Pack the sunscreen and charge the camera batteries- this Koh Hong island tour is guaranteed to be an unforgettable adventure in the tropics.
Set off from mainland Krabi this morning aboard a typical long-tail boat. An icon of southern Thailand, this style of boat is the perfect way to explore the islands of the Andaman Sea.
After a 45-minute trip, arrive at Hong Island. Go ashore, walking a short distance to where sea kayaks are waiting. Paddle from the island’s main beach toward a crescent-shaped lagoon that has only one entrance and exit. The unique shape of the lagoon protects a stunning beach, one that has been referred to as ‘a miracle on earth’.
Spend the afternoon is this remote paradise. Relax on the sandy beach, shaded by swaying palm trees. Grab a mask and plunge into the surrounding seas where shallow sea corals and brightly-coloured fish fill the waters. Or hop back into the kayaks and paddle further around Hong Island. During this afternoon a light picnic lunch will be served on the beach.
Later this afternoon it is time to say farewell to Hong Island and travel back across the turquoise waters to Krabi. (L)
