Walking the Blessings Trail - Half Day
Today your tour will start at either 08:00 or 13:00.
Take a walk along Yangon’s spiritual trail. This half day guided walking tour highlights the country’s diverse religious practices and spirituality.
Transfer to Chinatown for the first visit. Step into Kheng Hock Keong Temple, the largest temple in the area. Join the locals to light a stick of incense while learning about the Chinese Buddhist community in Yangon.
Continue toward Sule Pagoda at the centre of downtown. Along the way, stop in various houses of worship including Muslim mosques, Hindu temples, Christian churches and even a Jewish synagogue. See how these religious groups reside peacefully, side by side in downtown Yangon. Learn about the immigrant populations that brought these religions to Myanmar and get an introduction to their belief systems and rituals.
In addition to religious sites, stop at sites dedicated to Myanmar’s spiritual traditions such as ancestor worship, Nat worship and astrology. After exploring Sule Pagoda, take a break at a local tea shop for a drink and a snack before transferring back to the hotel.
