Twante Tour by Boat - Full Day
This tour will start at 07:00.
After breakfast, meet with a private guide and driver at the hotel and transfer to a jetty on the Yangon River. Board a riverboat for a 2-hour cruise to Twante. The boat features a covered, open-air, two-deck layout with ample space for relaxing and enjoying the views. While leaving the city the river begins to narrow into smaller canals providing an up-close look at life on the river- fishermen, villages and small rowboats ferrying passengers and goods along the water.
After reaching Twante, go ashore to explore this peaceful town which is known for its traditional pottery artisans and hand-crafted earthenware. While exploring Twante, pass by quaint neighborhoods and meet friendly locals. Then travel by local trishaw through the town streets, passing by the market and Shwesandaw Pagoda.
Return to the harbour at midday and embark on the return cruise to Yangon. Lunch is served on board. The boat arrives back in the city around 15:00-15:30. From the jetty, hop in the car again and receive a private transfer back to the hotel. (L)
