ITINERARY

Fly above the Great Wall - Full Day

Meet the guide at 09:00 and receive a private transfer to the heliport. Board the waiting helicopter and start an unforgettable tour of the Great Wall. Fly over some of the oldest remnants of the Great Wall, five kilometres southwest of Badaling. Full of high mountains and deep valleys, this section of the Great Wall is unrestored.

Proceed to fly towards Hero’s Slope. At an altitude of 868 metres, this is not an easy spot to reach by foot. The summit of this section bears a stone plaque with a poem from Charmain Mao. The view from the helicopter is incredible, with the Great Wall crawling over the hills and mountaintops as far as the eye can see.

Next up is Yeyahu, -or Guanting Reservoir, the only wetland Bird Nature Reserve of Beijing in North China. Located in Yanqing County at the foot of the Badaling Great Wall is Guanting Lake, it is exceptionally well-maintained and contributes to the natural environment. During the overpass, more than 150 different birds species can be observed, many of them protected.

Fly back to the Badaling section of the Great Wall through the Kangxi Prairie. These grasslands contain rich animal life and numerous indigenous plants. In spring and summer, the grass looks like a green carpet, blooming with wild chrysanthemums and over 500 different plant species.

See the blue mirror of the Guanting Reservoir in the west, and the emerald green mountains in the North as the private helicopter approaches the point of arrival. Enjoy a glass of champagne after arrival and toast to an unsurpassed Great Wall experience. Transfer back to after the one-hour flight.
