Look no further than the Andaman Sea. The waters are blue, the weather is warm, the marine life is exotic; if you\u2019re a diver, you have just have to be here, whether you are basing yourself out of Myanmar or Thailand. November to April and June to September are the best months to dive here, but it is still okay to visit at anytime of the year.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Phuket &#8211; Home to some good dive sites and is Thailand\u2019s largest diving center.\u00a0 Lots of smaller islands nearby to explore as well. Hard and soft corals as well as marine life provide a myriad of colors for divers to wow at.<\/li>\n<li>The Similan Islands \u2013 A total of nine islands, all with excellent dive spots. There is a good chance you may see chevron barracudas, manta rays or leopard sharks in these waters.\u00a0 The nearby Surin Islands provide a good chance to spot sharks and large marine animals.<\/li>\n<li>Tarutao National Park \u2013 Home to more than 30 uninhabited islands as well as excellent reefs. The visibility is one of the best in Thailand. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.exotravel.com\/travel\/thailand\/tours\/koh-lipe-beach-escape-thailand-beach-break\/\" target=\"_blank\">Koh Lipe<\/a> also boasts exceptional dives and is quickly becoming a popular island getaway destination.<\/li>\n<li>Krabi \u2013 Known for beautiful limestone karsts, blue oceans and numerous islands. The famous Phi Phi Islands are here, known for its paradise feel and world class dive sites. Koh Lanta Island is another popular place to base your dive from and the area is known to have beautiful coral reefs, manta rays, whale sharks and other colorful marine animals.<\/li>\n<li>Myeik, Myanmar \u2013 Located in Southern Myanmar, and only opened to the public in 1997. A dive experience here is best done via a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.exotravel.com\/adventure\/myanmar\/tours\/myeik-scuba-adventure-cruise\/\" target=\"_blank\">liveaboard cruise<\/a>.
