After meeting up with your host family in the village, take a short tour of their community. You may still see signs of devastation more than six years ago. But the famous Thai smiles and hospitality are still ever present. After lunch at the family\u2019s house, continue your orientation of the area through the mangrove forests by boat with a local guide- part of the community-based tourism initiative. Play some football (or any other game) with the kids later in the day. You are also more than welcome to help out with the rebuilding efforts any way you can. This evening, continue your Thai village living experience. Join your family in the preparation of dinner, learning about the ingredients and methods of tasty Thai cooking as well as interacting with the hosts. While sharing dinner at the house you will experience the customs and traditions of the community.<\/p>\n<p>Set out for some eye-opening workshop experience, established to preserve traditional craft techniques as well as creating sustainable income for the local people. Try your hand at interactive soap making and test your skills via nipa palm making or batik painting.<\/p>\n<p>Like all good things, there must be an end.
