Surrounding the capital is a vast and seemingly untouched natural and rural landscape. That area is the venue for your day of biking. Sounds enticing, doesn\u2019t it? After exploring all the must-see\u2019s in the city, this is a great way to truly discover the character and atmosphere of Phnom Penh. And it doesn\u2019t hurt that you\u2019re pedaling and giving your body a bit of a work out too, isn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n<p>You can\u2019t help but be fascinated with Phnom Penh\u2019s potential. You are seeing a city on the rise before your very eyes. Modern buildings are starting to crop up and existing harmoniously with more traditional sites such as the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda and Wat Phnom temple. These sites can not escape your attention \u2013 you must go see them!<\/p>\n<p>After your orientation of the city, bike around it to get a clear picture of what Phnom Penh is really like. You\u2019ll catch a ferry and dock at the other side of the Tonle Sap. From here, cycle away! Pedal along the banks of the river\/lake and learn more about the Cham communities that live here. You\u2019ll also stop to see the country\u2019s youth at study in a local school. Sure brings back those old memories back in the days, doesn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n<p>Afterwards, learn a bit about the area\u2019s craft as you bike your way to a silk weaving house to see how silk scarves are produced. Perhaps you can try your hand at it as well? Or maybe bring one or two back as a souvenir. Continue along small trails to your rest up point, an overgrown resort project. Your trip back to the pier will take a different route than which you came.
