Fact: You will have a good time in North Sumatra.<\/p>\n<p>Kick off the tour with some history and insight with a visit to the Sultan&#8217;s Deli Palace, built in 1888. For a time, it was the administrative center of the area before the city of Medan began to develop. After visiting the Great Mosque, hop into a waiting vehicle and prepare for a nice scenic drive to Gunung Leuser National Park. Your accommodation for the night is nothing more than a simple and basic lodge surrounded by the serene and green environment. Enjoy your climate station stay, located some 1400 meters above sea-level. You\u2019ll leave for Lake Toba and Samosir, an island within a volcanic lake. En-route, stop to see the 120 meter Sipiso-piso waterfall, formed by an underground river that then plunges from a cave into Lake Toba caldera. Your nature escapade continues to Parapat, a small town on the eastern shore of Lake Toba where you\u2019ll cross to Samosir Island, which was formed by the volcano over 75,000 years ago. Spend the whole day exploring the lake.
