As you may know, Southeast Asia can get pretty balmy, especially in the afternoons. Laos is no exception. The country may be landlocked, but there are still tons of aquatic options available in Laos. The country is made up of rivers. And with rivers, waterfalls are sure to be around somewhere, right? Say hello to Kuang Si Falls<\/a>, Laos\u2019 most impressive waterfall. If Laos is still not laid back enough for you, then the cascading waters, blue\/green pools and serene environment of Kuang Si will certainly do the trick.<\/p>\n

Laos\u2019 most striking cascades lie just 30 kilometers south of Luang Prabang. For many, it is a favorite side trip and it is easy to see why. The waterfall drops majestically and with authority over various limestone formations and into inviting and equally impressive turquoise pools. Thick vegetation and flora adds to the finishing touches towards a picture perfect scene.<\/p>\n

One your way back to Luang Prabang, you will get additional insight into Laos\u2019 ethnic hilltribe groups and their traditional arts and crafts at the Traditional Arts & Ethnology Center.
