Roads have improved in recent times, cutting journey times between Phnom Penh and the province in the country\u2019s northeast. However, time and effort still needs to be expended in getting there. Guests who choose to take the plunge will find themselves amidst some of Cambodia\u2019s most untamed wilderness. It is a place where ethnic cultural groups, such as the Phnong, inhabit spectacular landscapes and where bears, tigers, leopards and elephants can still be spotted in the jungles. On their first full day in Mondulkiri, guests will meet with Phnong locals and find out about their communities and customs before proceeding to Bou Sraa waterfall \u2013 the highest in Cambodia.
