{"id":1150,"date":"2010-02-23T13:55:29","date_gmt":"2010-02-23T06:55:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.exotravel.com\/blog\/?p=1150"},"modified":"2016-01-29T09:47:14","modified_gmt":"2016-01-29T09:47:14","slug":"national-museum-yangon-myanmar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.exotravel.com\/blog\/en\/national-museum-yangon-myanmar\/","title":{"rendered":"Unearth the History of Myanmar at the National Museum in Yangon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When visiting Yangon, one way to really discover the country is to visit Yangon\u2019s detailed National Museum.\u00a0 It chronicles everything about Myanmar from pre-historic times right to the present day.<\/p>\n<p>The National Museum in Yangon is the country\u2019s main exhibit of Burmese history, art and culture.\u00a0 Founded in 1952, the museum moved to two different venues until it settled on its current location in a spacious five storey building at Pyay Road in 1996.\u00a0 An extensive array of priceless artifacts, ornaments, artworks and historic memorabilia are on display in 14 halls on four floors.<\/p>\n<p>The first floor of the museum contains four rooms;
