Set off for a local morning market that is buzzing with shoppers coming to get the day’s freshest items. See stalls piled high with vegetables, tropical fruits, fish, and exotic herbs. Learn about how these items are grown and used in traditional Thai cuisine. Stop to sample some of the items on sale, from sweet juicy fruits to savoury morning snacks.

After this insightful market visit, continue to a popular local restaurant for breakfast. Dine on ‘dim sum’, a typical southern Thailand breakfast. Taste a variety of small bites such as ‘salapao’, a sweet round bun stuffed with sweet cream or chopped pork. Sip sweet Thai-style tea or coffee and chit-chat with the guide, learning more about Thai culinary culture.
