Bali Culinary Adventure (5 Days / 4 Nights)

Nobody, not even the most ardent Indonesian nationalist, would argue that Bali stands apart from other components of the sprawling archipelago. Aside from being Indonesia’s most sophisticated tourist destination, ‘the Island of the Gods’ is also unique for its colourful Hindu culture.

Bali’s cuisine is also highly distinct. The island’s forests provide the plants, herbs and spices that are integral part of the local larder while emerald paddies supply high quality rice. This bounty is then channelled into the creation of unique dishes such as babi gulung (suckling pig marinated in turmeric, lemongrass, kaffir and chilli) and bebek goring (Balinese-style crispy duck). One of the best places to sample true Balinese flavours is in Ubud, the island’s creative hub and a haven for the traditional way of life.

As well as sampling lavish Balinese feasts at alluring countryside venues, guests will have the chance to explore local villages, visit spectacular temples and luxuriate in the lush surroundings.
